To capture photographs of weather, its effects and consequences.
Not just pictures or clouds, rain, sunshine and snow but think laterally about how you can represent ‘weather’ in your photos.
Pictures to be taken between now and the submission date of 4th February.

Metals & Alloys
The subject for our May assignment is Metals and Alloys. Mick Day announced this assignment at our March meeting. It will be reviewed at our May meeting.
•The challenge is to experiment with photos that showcase the qualities and characteristics of metal.
•Look for textures eg; smooth engineered metal, rusty old metal, drilled metal, welds, coins, etc
•Look for uses eg; structural, ornamental, industrial, tools etc
•Try different angles and lighting (eg; flash, soft lighting, hard lighting etc) look for reflections, textures, lustre and sheen, macro might be an option
•Consider depth of field

February 2025 assignment –‘wood’
•Use your imagination to capture creative photographs of ‘wood’ in the widest possible interpretation
•Try different lighting eg; natural light/artificial light etc.
•Experiment with different positions and angles, macro, monochrome, shadow and shade effects etc
•Look for textures and patterns
•Experiment with depth of field
•Look for different types and use of wood
